You might be poor, your shoes might be broken, but your mind is a palace

  People don’t teach you how to love somebody. They don’t teach you how to be rich or how to be poor. They don’t teach you what to say to someone who’s dying. They don’t teach you anything worth knowing. They don’t tell you what to do when you’re lacking somewhere. This is us who encourage and understand ourselves and generate awareness among people. When someone steals another’s clothes, we call them a thief. Should we not give the same name to one who could clothes the naked and does not? The bread in your fridge belongs to the hungry; the coat unused in your closet belongs to the one who needs it; the shoes rotting in your closet belong to the one who has no shoes; the money which you hoard up belongs to the poor. When people love each other, they are content with very little. When we have light and joy in our hearts, we don’t need material wealth. The most loving communities are often the poorest.
